The Lynching of Alfred Williams and Plummer Bullock

Racial tensions escalated in Warren County, North Carolina after Plummer Bullock, a sixteen year old African American, confronted a local store owner about getting cheated in a purchase. Animosity grew, resulting in a race riot where several African American men were arrested. A mob later kidnapped Alfred Williams and Plummer Bullock from the jail and murdered them. No one from the group was identified or convicted.
